About

Dr. G. Anand Binod Singh is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and a Professor of English at Sharda University Uzbekistan. He has been teaching English Language and Literature to undergraduate and postgraduate students for the past 18 years. After working in India for a decade, he moved to Malawi, a nation in Central Africa, where he taught and led the academic team for five years. This was followed by a short tenure in the Sultanate of Oman. He is a passionate teacher, trainer, researcher, and administrator. His area of specialization is Postcolonial Literature, and his areas of interest include Indian Writing in English, Commonwealth Literature, Technical English, and Soft Skills.

His doctoral thesis focused on the postcolonial writers' attempt to bring out the validity of the real culture of those nations by way of rewriting and redefining the histories and point out the inherent strength of the nations. His research focuses on the analysis of the bygone days of India under colonial rule and the later stages of free India along with its cultural complexities, religious orientations and reliance on reason and science. He has guided five M.Phil. dissertations.

In addition to being a four-time Senate Member at DMISJBU, Malawi, he has also organized numerous Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), conferences, and delivered several invited talks. It is his belief that he has the ability the change the way people perceive things and help them become instrumental in spreading positivity around the world.
