About

Dr. G. Anand Binod Singh is currently the Associate Dean for the Faculty of Humanities and Associate Professor of English at Sharda University-Uzbeckistan. He has been teaching English and English literature to UG and PG students for the last 16 years. After working in India for a decade, he moved to Malawi, a nation in Central Africa. There, he taught and led the academic team for five years, followed by a short stay in the Sultanate of Oman. He is a passionate teacher, trainer, researcher and administrator. His area of specialisation is Postcolonial Literature and his area of interest is Indian Writing in English, Common Wealth Literature, Technical English and Soft Skills. His research focuses on the analysis of the bygone days of India under colonial rule and the later stages of free India along with its cultural complexities, religious orientations and reliance on reason and science. His doctoral thesis focused on the postcolonial writers' attempt to bring out the validity of the real culture of those nations by way of rewriting and redefining the histories and point out the inherent strength of the nations. He has guided 5 M.Phil. Dissertations. It is his belief that he has the ability to change the way people think and help them become instruments for bringing about positive changes in the world. In addition to being a four-time Senate Member in DMISJBU, Malawi, he has also organized many FDPs, conferences, and given invited talks.
